“Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.” I Peter 4:19 NKJV

While walking outside in the yard I hear buzzing sounds almost the sound of an orchestra’s warm-up period before a concert.  The buzzes were coming from every direction seemingly.  It was the sound of bees working the yard of little white flowers perching up from clovers covering areas of the yard as a blanket.  These bees were diligently retrieving nectar for their survival and dedicated to that task without taking notice of me or other distractions.

The buzz sounds are generated by the bees’ wings which reportedly flap 230 times per second.  And with added maneuvers to perform and the weight of their load, it is possible that they move even faster in producing the buzz in the air.

The bees are there for the rich nectar that is deposited in those little white flowers and needed for their survival in their survival.   Their buzz is their work as they retrieve their food supply and livelihood.

It is understandable that it would be said of these small creatures, “busy as a bee.”

Now, what is it that you do that causes a buzz where you live and work?  Are there common sounds being generated in your work that communicate your dedication and diligence?  Does your noise or your activity make a difference where you live and work?  Do your circumstances and/or situations cause more reaction or response than your effort to work to achieve something greater than yourself?  What is all the buzz about your life . . . the drama, the noise, the commotion, the influence, the notice?  Does your presence, participation, involvement or activity reach beyond your hive, your house, your existence to touch a larger community or lives beyond your inner circle?

Those little bees’ buzzes may influence us to consider that we, though small in nature, can have influence beyond the buzz, to impact others’ lives beyond the scope of our own!

“In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” Matthew 5:16 NLT
